DESTINATION AFRICA PART 5

Castelinho38 High Commission (Stefano, Fernanda e Ana) visited Swaziland, the only absolute monarchy on earth and probably one of the smallest country in Africa.
Unfortunately the King couldn t receive us, so after a day spent in capital Mbambane we decided to go to Mlilwane National Sanctuary, part of the Big Game Park (www.biggameparks.org). Here we enjoyed the beauty of the Park and got lost during our hikkings, we ve seen a lot of animals and run away from Hippos as they were aproaching land.

Swaziland could reminds Swizerland for its green valleys and its high peaks, but the friendly people here are very attached to their traditional rituals and tribes languages.
A special mention to beautyfull Reilly's Rock Lodge where prince of Holland use to spend his holidays and were C38 HC had an english tea with local biscuits during a sunny afternoon.

From Swaziland it has been quite easy to cross over Mozambique land. We arrived in its capital, Maputo on a sunday afternoon just in time to meet for dinner Ana's friends who recently moved in town. Castelinho38 High Commission has been kindly invited by Denzyl and Kathy to stay with them for the rest of our days in Maputo, where we had good food and plenty of local beers, but most important we ve been able to communicate in portuguese with the locals!!
Maputo has a mixture of Portuguese architecture, some great Art Deco buildings and many modern soviet style constructions. The movie Blood Dimond has been shooted here, and the train station, one of the local cultural meeting point, has still some of the props they used for the film.

From Maputo we went then north toward Inhambane, and we are now writing from TOFO a village on a very nice and empty beach, where bamboozi beach lodge is our head quarter ( www.bamboozibeachlodge.com). Here C38 experienced the Ocean Safari and have been able to swim with the Shark Whale.Today 2nd of February is Yemanja day, so we ll spend our day on the beach hoping to see the goddess and pay tribute to her..
