Uma bella fazenda
Fabio Prado, our good friend and ex-manager at C38 gently invited during the Eastern holidays our reporter Valentina to spend some times in his family fazenda in Paraguacu, inland of Minas Gerais.
The fazenda has been recently reformed and keeps the original structures, wooden floors and spirits of the old times. Tucanos and parrots are common here as well as many other types of birds that are the only noise you can hear.
Pargaguacu is a small and well organized town of 40000 inhabitants on the edge of the artificial lake of Furnas, one of the biggest hydroelectric power station reservoir lake with 1440 km2 of wet areas and 34 municipalities. The use of boats, of any kind is a normal way of transportation for the people that lives nearby the big lake.
Coffee plantation is the main crop of the area together with milk production and cows. However in Prado s fazenda "Agua Branca" they have aproximately 150 lambs, which is quite unsual in Brazil. Congratulation to the Prado s for their lovely place and thanks for your kindness and pao de queijo!
