Castelinho38 is a comfortable Small Hotel situated in one of the most charming and interesting areas of Rio, Santa Teresa. It is a spacious two-storey building with high ceiling and wooden floored corridors. It has a large 70m hall and 10 large airy bedrooms. Built in 1866, it is a classic example of the city’s eclectic architecture.
The terrace has a privileged view, that encompasses part of the city centre and some of the Baía de Guanabara. Whether in the bar, situated on the terrace, or in the garden, you can follow the progress of the famous Santa Teresa tram as it winds its way through the streets. There is a beautiful garden, where Coqueiro, Manga, Goiabeira, Jaqueira, Lemon and Banana Trees share the space with other species of the Atlantic Rainforest
